Promotion and development of photovoltaics

The process of promotion and development of a photovoltaic plant, like that of a wind farm, is a temporarily long process (usually the minimum time horizon is 4-5 years) and technically complex involving a wide range of professional skills during its implementation. Conceptually it encompasses from the zero moment (origin of its conception) to its construction.

The ISEG portfolio

ISEG began its promotion and development activities at the beginning of 2020 with two defined geographical areas of implementation in Spain and the United Kingdom (in the latter through its participation in the British company Value Renewables).

In the first half of 2027, the first 50 MW will come into operation in the UK in the form of a solar photovoltaic plus storage fleet. Another farm, with similar characteristics, completes the pool in the United Kingdom.

Globally, this power in the UK joins the more than 900 MW (spread across 10 projects from other generation sources) included in the ongoing development in Spain.

This power is intended to be obtained both with wind and photovoltaic production sources without forgetting the strategic complement represented by the contribution to the balance of the networks in the form of storage installations.

ISEG currently has 1 PV project with a landfill license and another PV project in final stages of development in the UK. Both will be complemented by storage facilities.
